WIP- Project ZM + JM

Really GLAD that I've gotten this new project for the wedding of ZM+JM, a nice and timely distraction from the stress and busy-ness of a recent interpretation job that I've just accepted!

Pardon my short description of this new project, I'm just too too toooo toooo tired from all the work and fun the past week!!=v=

Other than the stress to rush these 2 headpieces out in a week, I actually had fun experimenting with new materials and ideas for JM's headpieces. she wanted something BIG, red and pheony-kish, very different from the simple flower appliques that I usually do. But THANK GOD(I dunno how I managed to do it but THANK GOD i did!), the effects came out to be really gorgeous!

This fuchsia-red pheony will definitely match her cheongsam well to the core=]
As for her main gown on her actual day, I did a ivory white flower applique, matched with crystals and rhinestone with a gold rim and finished with a cluster of ivory cream Coque Saddle feathers and white duck feathers. This headpiece can be paired with a bridecage veil covering half of the face=]

Looking forward to getting the actual shots from their photoshoot!

Simon + YJ Wedding (29/05/2010)

The Big Day was over and marked the beginning of the newly joined bliss=)

It was an honor to be invited to Simon & YJ's wedding, to be part of their bliss and to be able to witness for myself how my works played a part to perfect their wedding!
The bride is one of the most gentle, sweetest, quaint, kind nature lady I've ever known, she has one of those sweet and cute gestures and beaming face that always softens my heart and never fails to make me guilty after trying to tease her, and the groom, on the other hand, is one of those traditional yet friendly, outspoken, fun loving guy who definitely finds no problem charming his ways out of difficult situations. (in a gd way=) HA! Though i must say he was quite crafty during the gate crashing games) The contrast between their characters is apparent, yet no one really thought their union to be an odd combination; in fact, i can see that it is precisely this contrast that flows through and blends into the big event! I was pleasantly surprised by the marked distinction of the 2 wedding favors chosen by the newly weds. Both gifts were coasters, one with a sweet cute pinkish picture of a "just married" sign suspending on the back of a car and another one, featured a pair of cartoon couple in traditional chinese Guas with the word "喜
喜" forming the background of the picture. (One look from it and i can guess who chose which =v= ) I'm lucky and got the pinkish sweet coaster which the gals were fighting over for haha!

If you're interested, pls feel free to go over the WIP section (on WIP-Project Simon+YJ) to have a look at the process of working on the bride's head pieces. For now, i shall cut the hassle and show you the final pieces that worked out for their wedding!

Sisters' headpieces:The smiling sisters donning the headpieces, brothers and the newly weds!

Bride's headpiece:

I've yet to get my photo of the bride modeling for my headpiece as the couple are still happily honey moon-ing in Europe now~~will update this as soon as I got it=)

Nevertheless, was really glad that this project had ended in a blissful note!
