New Year Spices(14-02-2010)

Starting to really face the harsh fact that the lunar new year is REALLY getting even more boring year after year and year after YEAR (i reckon it’s a symptom of ageing), i decided to spice my new year up by pampering myself with a head piece. FINALLY! I’ve been doing so much accessories for others that i hardly have time to do one for myself, this is MINE! Roar!

This is my first time trying to do my own flower appliqué with chiffon cloths, and it turned out quite well unexpectedly, i should have tried making my own flower appliqués earlier!! *palm to forehead*

K i know i’m not good with words and definitely cant sell this thing off with just words, so tata~ here’s a picture of it~


Flower appliqué made with ivory chiffon cloths and cream pearls, paired with bleached peacock feathers, Chukar Partridge feathers and ivory French netting.It’s attached to a hair clip so u can clip it anywhere u’d like to.

Just as i was grinning ear to ear thinking it would suit my new year outfit perfectly, i realised that i’ve nothing to go with my purple blue dress on the next day!! =(( (well, GALS~~~) and so, instead of unpacking my luggage from my recent trip to osaka and doing some housework on chinese new year’s eve, i did another trinket instead HAHA =v= so much for wanting to clear my stuffs before the first day of new year, sry mom!(>3<)

This is a smaller and fuller version of the flower appliqué i did for the previous one, paired with dyed royal purple peacock feathers and dyed blue goose feathers. This time round, i also added in a dangling gold chain with an antique bird charm at the ends and end this piece of trinket with a black satin ribbon. You can use this trinket as a charm for a long necklace or as a head piece.
I used it to pair with my gold long necklace on new year=)

Suli+Wee Wedding (07-12-2008)

I almost forgot about blogging about my very first wedding project in my life!
It’s one of my best gal friend’s wedding and i did my own version of ring corsage for our sisters gang~

Delicately designed and crafted with clay flowers, Swarovski　crystals, pearls and a silver wing each for every ring.

I initially came up with this design based on this bible verse:
“If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalms 139:9-10

The whole chapter actually talks about how God knows everything about us and understands us the best. He knows our troubles & happiness (our whole life!) and will walk with us through our daily lives, even though we might not know Him or understand Him at all. He tells us that no matter how bad the situation is or how bad our lives may seem to be right now, He will always be in control and will be with us no matter where our lives takes us to=)

I dunno how it sounds to you but it’s always very comforting and touching whenever i read this verse~ For me, this is also often the interpretation of a true friend who walks with you through your life and understands you even before you spoke up. And SOoOo, taking from this inspiration, i came up with this ring corsage for my best gal buds gang on Suli’s wedding day!

It was a small but really memorable project(o^^o)ふふっ♪ really missed the days~~~
