WIP- Project KB+Agnes Wedding update

Very happy, really happy (pardoned my lack of vocab!) to be asked by Agnes to make the corsages for her 4 sisters xD Came up with 4 designs of corsages and we ultimately settled on the arm~ (great that she has 4 sisters with really slim arms! so no arm issues =pp)

design draft:

finished corsage!

made with chiffon, ivory mesh, satin, feathers & pearls~
Came to know that her wedding flowers are Calla lillies, so came up with this calla lilly inspired fabric flower made of chiffon that moves along with slight movements~

on the arm!

well i hope i'll come back with updates of actual day photos on the sisters ^^
right now the corsages are in my paper bags, waiting to be delivered to Miss Bride to Be~~~

Gowns for Janice (as sister/bridesmaid for a wedding)

What am i busy with now?

Was recently asked so many times by my friends AND my mum that i already am getting tired repeating & repeating over n over again. I was reminded of how long i havent been updating my blog, and so~~ here i am, updating my little blog in the middle of the night just in case i got lazy tomorrow morning again=p

Other than my usual studies, i'm quite tied up by the 2 gowns i promised my dear friend Janice to sew for her to attend her friend's wedding in Bali next month. The bride-to-be has a rather unique idea of wanting a rock + gothic wedding theme set in Bali, with grey hues as the main colour for the sisters' dresses in the day. Something different from the usual pastels, whites & ivories huh? And so, i came out with the following designs:

Day dress:
Grey textured princess-cut tulip dress with black see-thru chiffon as the top layer.

Night gown:

Roses red dress with open back and black tulle underneath the puffy bottoms. Metal studs and feathers will be added to the left shoulder to dramatize the whole gown. (We combed the whole Arab street for unique buttons with a rock feel and of course, metal studs!)

The fittings will be tomorrow (or shld i say TODAY since it's like 2 am now~), will take photos for updates=]]

Liam + Jing Wedding (29/10/2010)

29th Oct 2010 was an important day for many of us who played a role in Liam & Jing's wedding planning since a year plus back. After 29th, we'll be free from groomzilla+bridezilla rule!!! (k just kidding =p)

Ahem, k I was pretty excited, partly because the bride is a bestie who has shared an amazing 10 yrs+ friendship with me, as a result I even personally know the groom for around 8+ years! SO, you can see we were all pinning for the couple to get married from dunno since ages ago! Finally, they decided to tie the knot on 29th Oct 2010, in a sweet little white church with stained glass in a unique night ceremony. Finally. Ha. =D

k I ALwAyS thought I would cry buckets when the couple read their vows, and when the groom kiss his bride,in fact i rehearsed this scene alot of times in my mind since years ago and imagined myself crying at the spot, however i did not, to my amazed
; Instead, I teared when the bride sang her surprise love song to the groom as her appreciation for his love to her. I don't think I will ever pluck enough courage to sing in front of so many eyes, so great job done gal!! I really admire you for that! *salute* Thanks for driving the groom and US to tears=v=

Anyway, this is sort of a recap post for me for the sake of those who did not follow Liam+Jing wedding planning from the beginning. Pls bear with me~~

1) Bridal Gown + belt + veil design

2) For some of those who followed, remember the 2nd-hand gown that Jing bought to be trimmed and cut? I'm really glad I insisted on the slop cut and you went all the way with me gal, despite your initial inhibitions, but dun worry gal your legs don't look short in this!
